Mission Statement
Vision
All members of our department will be at the highest state
of readiness and vigilance to meet the on-going challenges and risks to our
department and college community, in the new millennium.
Mission
We will provide the highest quality of police service by
maintaining a safe and secure learning and working environment, provide
superior customer service to the college community and public, and will
anticipate, prepare for, and meet the law enforcement challenges and future
missions set before us.

Continue to develop mutually beneficial
partnerships with local and federal law enforcement agencies increasing
communication and sharing information;

Conduct
police operations in a safe, efficient and effective manner;

Continue to develop instruction and
research of technology to provide additional, less-lethal devices and
appropriate training to control violent individual(s), regardless of size,
strength and number;

Continue to develop training to ensure the
appropriate reasonable use of force by enhancing the instruction on how to
recognize, respond to, and use less-lethal options to control an individual
during a confrontational situation; and
-
Continue to develop instruction and
training to ensure officer safety and the safety of others while engaged
in either less-lethal or lethal force for the protection of life.
